When you sign up as a Vendor for Light In Paint, you will receive your own vendor page at Light In Paint.  You can name your store to be the name of your business or something like ‘The art of  – your personal name – ‘.  Please don’t just use your name alone as the name of the store.

 

Important: when you sign up as a vendor, please create a username that is one word with no spaces or periods in it, thanks!

 

On your vendor page, you can set your email address and social media links.  You can make a brief statement about your place of business.  Please keep it relatively short, maybe a paragraph long, because it will need to fit nicely into a mobile format that is easy to read.

 

Commission rates go as follows:  Light in Paint receives 20% of the pre-tax price of the item, and you receive 80%.  We feel this is reasonable compensation for the opportunity to have the broader audience that Light In Paint brings together with the support that we will bring you in selling your product.  This rate applies to all sales from vendors and no negotiations will be made for individual items at this time.

 

Taxes:  All taxes charged to the customer at checkout will go to Light In Paint LLC.  The reason for this is that it is too complicated to implement a system to split the taxes when there are so many worldwide tax jurisdictions.  These would not be able to be combined between vendor and admin.  Light in Paint LLC is required to charge and pay sales tax by law.

 

Shipping charges may be set by you and these funds will go to you, the vendor, when the checkout by the customer is complete.  You will be responsible for shipping the item to the customer in a timely manner.  Also, you will be in charge of communicating with the customer if they have any special concerns over shipping since you will ship the item from your location to theirs from the location of your physical shop.

 

When you become a vendor for Light In Paint, payments for the items you sell will be dispersed to you by check, Paypal, or Venmo.
